Whether it's rock, blues, fingerstyle or bass guitar you want to learn, I can help.

I am an experienced guitarist, both as a teacher and as a band member, having played in many semi-professional (and some not-so-professional!) bands over 35 years.

I have played in 12 piece soul/funk bands, 3 piece blues bands, 5 piece rock bands, and duos - and pretty much everything in between!

Experience

I have played in many bands over many years. I've often been called upon at the last minute to stand in for unwell band members in other bands, and have been teaching on-and-off now for around 20 years.

I teach more now than at any time before, as I've really grown to enjoy it - mainly I enjoy the look on student's faces once they *get* a solo, or piece of music we've been working on.

You can't beat that!

Lessons

Guitar Lessons
Well, duh! Yes, we will be learning to play the guitar. I can teach the Blues, Rock guitar, some Funk, even some acoustic fingerstyle guitar (I had a spate a while back of converting pop songs to fingerstyle - just because I loved how they sounded in a different "genre").
Note: Lessons are for ages 13 and over.
Student Portal
Each student has access to their own Student Portal area of the website.
Here they will find their personalised worksheets, backing tracks, videos and an AI enhanced practice schedule, accessible at any time.

Home Recording
I also incorporate home recording techniques into teaching. Once an appropriate skill level has been reached, we record backing tracks of songs of your choosing, or an original composition.

Pricing

All lesson materials are provided by me
Individual 1-to-1 Lessons
  • £16 - 30 Minute Lesson (Recommended for younger students - Younger than 16 years old, but older than 12)
  • £30 - Full, One-Hour Lessons

Group Lessons
  • Group lessons start at £25 per person (and get cheaper the larger the group).
